The Loose Strings Band + Adam McPeak & Mountain Thunder

One night of music with two great bands!

The Loose Strings Band

The Loose Strings Band consists of Channing Combs (guitar), Grace Davis (bass), Lindsey Nale (mandolin), and Ashley Hultman (banjo). Making their home in the Blue Ridge Mountains (Galax, VA)  has attributed to their unique Appalachian sound. The group came together 18 years ago, and have drawn inspiration from artists such as Dolly Parton, Alison Krauss, and Kacey Musgraves. They have held true to their blended harmonies and aim to highlight them through songwriting. They played at nationally known venues including The Harvester in Rocky Mountain, Virginia, The Wayne Henderson Festival, HoustonFest, Song of the Mountains, Bristol Rhythm and Roots Festival, and they’ve been a part of the Crooked Road Tour.

Adam McPeak and Mountain Thunder

Adam McPeak and Mountain Thunder are from Southwest Virginia and the group is composed primarily of young bluegrass musicians with mandolin player Adam McPeak at the helm since the age of 13.Adam didn’t have to look beyond the Blue Ridge Mountains of his home for the sound he was searching for, the rich blend of harmonies from his dad, Mike McPeak, also on rhythm guitar. Steve Chrisley lending his deep rich baritone and picking the five string banjo, as Marlon Dean saws out the fiddle breaks and plays twin and harmony fiddle with Nikki Wright, as she is putting out the rich and powerful vocals on both lead and harmony and David Chrisley holds them all together on the bass fiddle.
